Update on our Living Wage Campaign

Posted on Updated on

Our campaign is hitting the headlines nationally and locally.

Our Chair, New Forest East MP Candidate Andrew Pope, has led a local living wage campaign asking Southampton to pay it, making the front page of the local paper, the Southern Daily Echo, shown above. The campaign was also the editorial of the day.

New Forest East Labour has created a new petition backing Andrew’s campaign. It is here.

Andrew and our Board members have been campaigning across England, Scotland and Wales.

We’ve been joined by Labour MPs David Lammy and Frank Field.

David has created a petition asking London clubs to pay the London Living Wage. We urge you, even if you are not a football fan, to sign his petition.
And football clubs in the Premier League, Football League and Scottish Premiership are moving their stance on paying the living wage.

We will be making some big announcements soon.

If you would like to join our campaign for your local club, get in touch…
